The team at John Douglas Photographer are passionate about capturing the moment. With experience in many different areas of photography ranging from astrophotography to weddings we are the full package.
Based in Hampshire on the beautiful South Coast we can offer outdoor photography sessions in some of the stunning landscape Hampshire and surrounding counties have to offer. If the weather is not favourable we even have a portable studio set up which includes lights and backdrops to use indoors.
We have covered various music events and tattoo conventions. We were also present at the Big Eat Food Festival in Netley and attended the Hampshire Pet Fair while working to expand our portfolio.
With a number of weddings already under our belt we are always happy to take on the big day itself offering packages ranging from ceremony only to full day coverage.
After investing in specialised macro lenses and lighting we are about to expand into iris photography in the very near future.

John "Pinky" Douglas
Lead Photographer
I am a full time motorcycle instructor by trade after giving up a 20 year catering career but there has always been a passion for photography just beneath the surface waiting to be released.
Growing up with point and shoot film cameras and the endless wait for the photographs to be sent back from the developers. The advent of digital cameras opened a whole new world of creativity where I could edit my own images.
In 2010 I purchased my first DLSR and I have not looked back since. Over the years I have upgraded my camera's and lenses and improved my processing and editing skills.
My images have been published on the front page of the local newspaper and a folk singer has used one of my pictures in his album artwork and tour promotion.
I believe in creating a good rapport with the client often breaking the ice with my quirky personality which seems put people at ease. I seem to have found the balance between relaxed and professional which leads to fantastic images.

Admin, Second Photographer
I am a stickler for organisation and improving customer experience. With a background in IT, I am the admin force behind the scenes always ready to discuss any queries and bookings. I believe in delivering a professional service from start to finish.
I have always had a love of animals, from ducks to dogs and everything in between. It is for this reason John decided to get involved with pet photography.
As a youngster, I have always loved photography but never been in a position to think about it professionally. My Dad often reminds me of a day trip to London where I was hanging out of the car window with my digital camera happily snapping all the sights.
I have now moved into the "big cameras" and am loving what amazing moments you can capture when you know what you are doing. But of course I still have a lot to learn.
Where I can, I will accompanying John as a second photographer capturing candid images in the background.
